Please number your answers as I have done that correspond with the question above. Thank You.

Im doing a survey and I'd like to ask pet owners a few questions?
1) No

2) B/c it would cost 3x's more money to insure my pet than it costs to insure me, for even the barest plan which really doesn't do anything. I have better planning with my pet savings account.

3) Yes- most all rescues, they were done before I got them

4) Yes

5) Yes, and other shelters (including one I used to work at 700 miles away with what I can) with transports, fostering, overnighting a dog, etc

2. not offered for most of my pets and not offered in my area. even if it was availale though I don't think I would get it because most pet insurance companies make you pay the vet bill first and then fill out forms and send in your reciepts to be reimbursed. If I wanted to do it that way I would just pay the whole bill myself like I do now anyhow.

3. half of them are. it could be dangerous or is not possible to spay or neuter the other ones so they live in cages seperated by sex.(rats, fish, anoles)

4. My dogs do but none of the other ones are required to.

5. I woud love to volunteer at our local animal shelter but it's 1/2 an hour away and I don't drive so there is no way that I could get there when everyone else is at work. (My vet is in town so I have no worries there for those who would wonder about how I would get them there.)

2. I think the amount I would pay for health care would be less than the total i would have to pay for insurance. Although rat insurance was only 20 dollars, its not like her health care was really very much more

3.Are your pets spayed or neutered? Neither, Fiscally not an option at this time

4. Does your animal have licensed tags? Yes, they won't groom my dogs without it.

5. Do you volunteer at your local animal shelter? No, The Local shelter near me euthanizes dogs after a certain amount of time of them being there. My empathetic nature won't allow me to be a part of that.
