Worldview questions survey assignment?

I am supposed to do a survey of at least one person asking the following questions. Thank you to everyone who answers! I will put the question to a vote to determine the ten points.

Where did you come from?

Why are you here?

Where are you going?

Do you live according to absolutes?

What can you know and how do you discover knowledge?

How do you explain human nature?

What is right and what is wrong?

Worldview questions survey assignment?
thru parents

cuz God made my parents

who knows? you mean this life?? not specific

unsure what youre asking

Im born again

Satan is tempting ppl

10 commands when broken is sin
Reply:1. I come from Australia originally, lived in New Guinea, New Zealand, and now in the United States.

2. I am here because of evolution and my parents ability to procreate.

3. I am going to one day die, and have a very valuable, short period to make a difference in the lives of others.

4. In some areas of my life yes, but I typically try to look at both sides of each equation, in order to live a reasoned, productive life that is beneficial to others.

5. Knowledge is a compilation of the discovery of other human beings. I gain it from listening and reading to them, and even by exploring on my own.

6. Human nature is very complicated, but it appears right now as if empathy is a key to what makes us human. In the past we separated ourselves from animals using 'self awareness' and the use of tools, and emotional capacity, but the more we actually study animal behavior, the more we are finding that we are very alike.

The ability to empathize seems to be uniquely human.

6. Right and wrong are determined by society, through cultural acceptance and logical reasoning. For instance, I consider nudity acceptable, because I have lived in parts of the world where it is a way of life. Other people in the states, consider exposed nipples as sinful.

Basic right and wrong comes from logical understanding about life itself and civilization. For instance, most humans consider murder to be wrong, because, it is not beneficial to us. The same applies to stealing, violence etc....

People claim that morality comes from a deity, but the law associated to most deities includes sacrifice and immoral rules, that we have grown out of in this modern age.
Reply:A survey of one person? kay...

I came from my parents and the DNA from their relatives.

Why am I here? To get paid.

If you mean-the big HERE-I am here to show love to the world, to develop my talents, and procreate.

Where am I going? Home after work. Then to rehearsal.

The big Where? Going to die.

Absolutes? I guess, although I can't think of any.

I can know a lot of information, some intuition, and I discover by reading, living, making mistakes that I survive, others' experiences.

I don't. I think people are innocent, a blank slate and are taught to hate and be stupid. Without guidance, a baby would grow up to be selfish and cruel, unsociable, and violent. Unless he was killed first.

With guidance a person can learn to be altruistic, kind, peaceful and unselfish. It will help us to continue the species.

What is right and wrong depends almost entirely on your culture. In most cultures, murder is wrong. In most cultures, love/family is a good. Not in all.
Reply:Where did I come from - I was created by God.

Why am I here - Rev. 4:11 says I am here for God's pleasure.

Where am I going - to heaven when I die.

Yes - I live according to absolutes. Man cannot live by bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. I believe God.

What can I know and how do I discover knowledge. I ask of God who gives wisdom, knowledge and understanding to all who ask. I am commanded to study the Word of God.

How do I explain human nature - We are all sinners because of the fall when sin and death came into the world. God sent Jesus to reconnect us to God by believing in God's Son, Jesus Christ and what Jesus did on the Cross by taking my sins upon Himself so I could have eternal life if I believe in Him. We have a sin nature until Salvation. When the Holy Spirit comes in we put on the nature of Christ, because the Holy Spirit purifies and refines us.

Obeying God is right and disobeying God is wrong. God is truth.

2)entertainment purposes

3) to the commode soon

4) absolutley not, heh heh

5) read, everything but the bible. well, you COULD read the bible to learn stuff not to believe. in that case, everything written in it.

6) our brains long for....

7) right stuff feels so good it should be illeagal "thank goodness it isnt" wrong stuff feels even better
Reply:Where did you come from? Originally New Haven... I am creation of God.

Why are you here? For the purposes of my loving Father; God.

Where are you going? In the end, heaven.

Do you live according to absolutes? I try, but like everyone else, I stumble. But I am a lot closer to it then I was 30 years ago.

What can you know and how do you discover knowledge? By reading the Bible and listing for the voice of God.

How do you explain human nature? It is evil by nature, meaning that no one is perfect, and they all make mistakes. However; humans have the ability to love, which is the power of eternity.

What is right and what is wrong? Whatever the Bible says is right and wrong. There are many lists in it regarding what is right and wrong. Here is my favorite.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

2 - because my mother got pregnant and carried me to term

3 - moving to FL this weekend

4 - no, life can only be appreciated in "full color"

5 - alot, by personal methodical study

6 - the desire to survive by virtue of steadily increasing knowledge/technology with each new generation, but with potentially self-destructive tendencies

7 - subjective dependent on the moral values of the observer
Reply:I came from my mother.

I'm here to continue the species.

I'm going forward in time.

My life is absolute, both concrete and abstract. Yes.

I can only know what my reality lets me know. Knowledge is discovered by believing something is true.

Humans are not good or evil, humans only are survivalists. We do what we need to to continue our existance.

Right and wrong is up to each individual. People make their own decisions of what is right and wrong. No one person can define it for others.
Reply:My mommas belly

To make desciples of all nations

Home after work

Yes....mostly

We can't know what we can know, because we don't know what it is that we don't yet know, and of course you can discover knowledge

Humans are sinful in nature ever since the original sin

God is right, Satan is wrong
Reply:Mom. Long story.

Boredom. Technically I should be going to the bank, so add laziness.

To eat lunch, then maybe the bank.

Sort of. My absolutes exist for the same reason pi and e exist; they just do. The golden rule is just the optimal long term solution for dealing with other people. Also, being nice to other people is usually fun. If it wasn't so I guess I'd be evil. Do I live according to absolutes or not?

Observe, hypothesize, test, if no new hypothesis and if yes its true.

Neuropsychology.

See absolutes.

2. To learn as much as possible and have as much fun as possible

3. No idea

4. Absolutely not.

5. I read.

6. It's human.

7. You wamnt a list? I thought this was going to be a short survey! We instinctively know which is which. That's wisdom.
Reply:1) Nowhere; I was generated (gestated really) by natural causes.

2) Where else could I be but 'here'

3) I'm always going 'there', but end up 'here' when I get to where I'm going. Strange.

4) Yes. Entropy is absoluely necessary for my biological functions to occur.

5) I know that I exist, since even to doubt this requires that I be here to doubt

6) Human nature is a product of thousands of years of evolution

7) Right and wrong are categories for demarking correct and incorrect responses, respectively
Reply:Okay. I'll give it a shot.

**Where did you come from?

The spirit world

**Why are you here?

To learn the lessons of living on the material plane.

**Where are you going?

When I am done with this one, another incarnation presumably.

**Do you live according to absolutes?

Yes. I do live by some absolutes.

**What can you know and how do you discover knowledge?

We can discover knowledge through a variety of sources. Other people, books, experience, formal education - to name a few.

**How do you explain human nature?

Just as with all animals, we have an instinct to survive and multiply. Everything beyond that is a result of cultural development, personal development and choices.

**What is right and what is wrong?

Right is that which promotes goodness and wholesomeness in the community. Wrong is that which is harmful to other people, animals, the environment or the community.

Just off the top of my head. :)

no, i see grey areas, things are not all one thing or all another.

you can know anything and knowledge is discovered by your senses, and pregnant thoughts

human nature is... complex. it is what makes us different from other animals, we have reason and the ability to know right from wrong.

wrong is when you hurt yourself or someone else. right follows what human nature leads us to and wrong goes against it.
