Can you guys provide for me questions that can be asked in a survey about animal abuse?

Again, this is for my research class. PLease help us make up questions- they cannot have direct questions such as: Have you ever abused an animal under physical means?- You CAN ask however, Have you ever WITNESSED an animal being abused under physical means? Thank you guys for helping us! WE'LL LOVE YOUR SUPPORT!

Hi!

I have a few suggestions:

how about something like:

1. how many times do you walk your dog?

2. Did you ever feel like hitting your pet?

3. Did you ever hit him/her/it and why?

4. Do you punish your pet if they don't do what you want?

5. How often do you groom them?

6. Why did you get a pet?

7. Would you want other pets? Why?

8. How would you feel if your pet died, was kidnapped, ran away?

9. Have you ever had a pet run away?

10. Where do your pets live? Do you keep them in the house running freely around or they are locked somewhere?

11. What do you understand by discipline?

12. Do you feel infuriated when someone abuses a child or a pet?

These are a few ideas. Try to find out more about habits and feelings and relationships and then, in the end, you can ask the direct questions.

I hope this helps.
Reply:You could ask if the animal has adiquate food and shelter, if they're emaciated or not, if they have a low body score, whats the condition of the animals coat, if the people have not seen the animals be feed or watered over a period of time. Things like that.
Reply:How about something like "If you were to witness an animal being abused, how might you react?" Follow up question: Would it make a difference what type of animal was being abused? Why? Would you react differently if you saw a person being abused? Etc. I hope this helps. Oh and there is nothing dorky about someone who wants to save animals! Give yourself some credit!!! :-)
Reply:why do they call it animal abuse if you leave your dog outside during winter when they naturally are meant to be which is their natural environment.
