I've noticed this increasingly. Completely meaningless and pointless questions that have been posted in Polls and Surveys end up getting 20+ answers while the more intelligent and serious questions sometimes end up neglected.
Why do all the polls %26amp; survey questions get a lot of answers while more serious ones sometimes get none?
Because the Polls %26amp; Survey questions are easier to answer, require little thought, and their more based on what the answerer thinks...It requires thought to answer serious questions, and it focuses more on helping out the questioner...A lot of people don't want to take the time, nor use the brain power to answer them...A lot of people just want a quick %26amp; easy 2points!!!
Reply:Its all about the "Regulars" If you are not a "regular" you will be lucky to get 2 answers to anything. Yahoo can't control that - sorry.

Reply:because Polls and surveys are opinions. its easier to say your opinion . and the serios ones are more harder. you have to think more.
Reply:Yeah I know what you mean. I think a lot of people come here to have fun and when they see a fun question, they are more drawn to that question.

Reply:Polls and surveys only require opinions. Opinions are like armpits. Everybody has at least 1, and sometimes they stink, and the polls and surveys are easier for the swimmers in the shallow end of the gene pool to answer. The serious questions require thought. If there's one thing I've learned about Yahoo Questions and Answers (and no offense to Yahoo), it's loaded with people who would rather let CBS, NBC, ABC, PMSNBC, and CNN do their thinking for them, so they are incapable of answering the serious questions on their own.

Serious questions require intelligence and (often really obscure) knowledge to answer.
Unfortunately there's no way to put the really interesting unanswered questions in front of more people, especially those who might be able to answer them.
Reply:Because its easier to answer a question thats wants your own oppinion, than an answering a question that asks for specific facts you just simply might not know....
Reply:1. everyone can answer questions i polls and surveys because they are pointless and every one can answer them (they are easy to answer because they are your own opinion)
2.it is easier to get more points in poll and surveys.
Reply:People love talking about themselves! Polls and surveys are all about the person answering them.
Not as many people care about facts, which affect everybody.

Reply:I know i just posted a question that i thought would get a ton of responses and i received 3. I am very dissapointed. My question was i answered a question about terrorists and my answer was deleted and i wasn't given a reason why. So i thought i would ask this question because it makes me burn inside that it was deleted. Everyone i have talked to friends family say it was wrong to have it deleted and stand my ground..
Reply:I wonder the same thing. The sillier, more pointless the question I ask, the more answers I get. Goes double when the question has a slightly more devilish tone. I think it goes to show that many people are here for entertainment rather than intellectual stimulation.
