Need help w/ a political psychology survey experiment- need questions for survey!!?

I'll be conducting an experiment where I’ll test to see whether excitement really provokes involvement while anxiety provokes learning. To do this I’ll send around a survey to several people but I need questions that will clearly provoke either excitement or anxiety- any help?? I could use about 15 questions for each… thanks!

I won't do your work for you, but I'll steer you in the right direction.

First, make sure -- following each question --the Subject(s) MUST

identify whether the question provoked excitement or anxiety. To do that, a prefice explaining each which is clear, concise, %26amp; simple

MUST be given on your handout -- possibly with a verbal "pitch".

Secondly, your questions should be picked from subject areas which might NORMALLY EXCITE or PROVOKE ANXIETY in the

people of your culture [Subjects]. A few of those areas are: World

events like a terrorist attack, likelyhood of N Korean nuke, use of

radioactive or biological or nerve agents AND WORDED to

DIRECTLY AFFECT THAT PERSON and their family. REJECTION

IN LOVE. SPECIFIC BIBICLE QUOTES following a question on

morality where the quote condemn the answers views/behavior.

I hate it, but gross things bring anxiety, like: have you ever walked

in on your parents.....? Fun things they would like to "tell" about

[bigshot it] like their vacation, a "cool" ride at the state fair, etc etc

generally excite. Fights, gunshots, emergencies which are real life

are anxiety events: What did you feel like when a)you had a car wreck b)found you were pregnant/girl friend was c) were real close

when a fight broke out d) a bad storm or fire scared you?

ANYWAY -- you get the idea -- the ques. must involve the PERSON

fear and uncertainty [semester finals] bring anxiety. Fun, hoped for

events [Xmas morning, date with ___, big football game/bsktB tournament etc] bring excitement. Just center the questions around

the individual person's life -- THEY must feel. Don't worry about

the sophistry of the questions.

I GAVE EXAMPLES, it's UP TO YOU to determine the questions and whether they need to be in the political realm or not. Good Luck -- Greg, old Psych grad [BS 1972]

PS: personally, I didn't realize any tie-in with an "answered survey"

and a valid experiment with tests for significance to validate a

change in the "learning curve" ESPECIALLY w/o pretested Subjects to serve as a control group and half given anxiety and the

other half excitment. [Even their rest and diet would have to be

controled]. I hope I'm way off base and you get an A!!! Oh, don't

forget that some things are more gender specfic and other things

are affected only by personal interests.
