5 simple survey questions about studio ghibli?
This question would get a greater response in the "Comics %26amp; Animation" section of Entertainment %26amp; Music, but here's my answer:

1) I love Studio Ghibli films because the characters portrayed are like people you would see in everyday life. No supermodels, no muscular heros, no ultra-intelligent creatures. Just plain, ordinary people thrown into extraordinary circumstances.

2) "Majo no Takkyubin" (Kiki's Delivery Service) has to be my favorite because of the emotional struggles the main character has to endure and the beautiful animation artwork. "Grave of the Fireflies" would be my next choice. It's said if you don't cry at least once during the movie, you don't have a soul.

3) Miyazaki Hayao is the greatest anime director of all time! Even people who work at Disney studios admit they look to his work for inspiration. Although some people claim there are political messages in his work, viewers would benefit from having [at least] a basic understanding of Japanese history and culture before passing judgement. Miyazaki is a strong supporter of land and nature conservation in Japan (due to the amount of developement there), and many of his films reflect that.

4) Films I've seen: all of them! From "Nausicca" to "Tales From Earthsea".

5) I would NOT want Studio Ghibli to make a TV series. The fact that it takes years between Ghibli movie releases makes them special and something to look forward to. Besides that, with the production schedule they would have to maintain in creating a TV series, the artwork could never live up to their usual standards of excellence.
